Job Summary:
A registered nurse (RN) specializing in operating room (OR) procedures is sought in Tracy, California. This position involves providing high-quality perioperative care within a community hospital or level 2 trauma facility. Candidates are required to bring their California RN license on the first day of assignment. The role primarily covers overnight shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Job Details:

• Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
• Required Qualifications: CA RN Licensure, BLS, PALS, ACLS, NIHSS Certification, at least 2 years of recent OR experience in a community hospital or trauma level 2 facility, including circulating experience in General Surgery, Orthopedics, Spine, Urology, Robotics, OB/GYN (C-sections), and Plastic Surgery, and conscious sedation experience. Knowledge and experience with Epic and Cerner EMRs are preferred.
• Additional Responsibilities: Prior experience with sedation administration and monitoring ER, GI, and surgical cases, including C-sections and GI procedures. Must be comfortable with on-call shifts including rotating coverage during weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Certifications: All certifications must be in hand at the time of submission and must be from AHA (American Heart Association) or American Red Cross.
• Other requirements: Successful candidates will include copies of all current certifications, a Sutter cover sheet, and two references obtained within the last year with their submission. Candidates must also be willing to complete all clinical modules during orientation, which are non-billable and vary in hours.
• Travel and RTO: No RTO requested; candidates must be able to travel within 3-5 days for lab work after signing. Local candidates accepted at a lower billing rate. A 50-mile travel requirement applies.
• Start Date: 07/06/2026
• Notes: Trauma Level (1) experience and teaching hospital experience are preferred; familiarity with Epic and Cerner EMRs is recommended. The professional should be prepared for on-call duties and have no restrictions that would prevent immediate acceptance, including speaking with decision-makers or housing arrangements.
