Welder Position

Primoris Energy Services Corp is seeking an experienced welder to join our team, responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment using various welding processes, ensuring high-quality and safe execution of projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform welding duties using various processes including SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW according to specifications and blueprints.
• Cut, grind, and prepare materials for welding, ensuring proper fit-up and alignment.
• Inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools, including arc welders, grinders, and torches.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and policies, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Participate in pre-job planning and safety meetings.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient project completion.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited welding program or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a welder, preferably in the energy services or construction industry.
• Proficiency in multiple welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and schematics.
• Strong understanding of welding safety procedures and practices.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various positions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Must successfully pass all required site weld testing prior to starting work.
