Director, Field Access and Reimbursement - Psych

AbbVie seeks a Director of Field Access and Reimbursement for Psychiatry to lead a national team of 26 reimbursement managers across the United States. This leadership role bridges field execution, market access strategy, and commercial performance, requiring enterprise-level thinking and direct oversight of three Associate Directors.

Responsibilities

• Set vision and execution priorities for FRM team aligned to brand strategy and patient access goals
• Develop national strategy for patient services, access resources, and program deployment
• Establish measurement framework demonstrating impact on revenue, access velocity, and patient starts
• Build access infrastructure and training models for new indication launches and geographic expansion
• Partner across Market Access, Legal, Compliance, and Patient Support Services to ensure program integrity

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD) strongly preferred
• 8–12+ years progressive experience in field leadership, access, reimbursement, and healthcare strategy
• Minimum 5 years leading field-based teams with demonstrated experience managing managers
• Proven track record building or scaling field teams through hiring, structuring, and development
• Deep knowledge of Medicare Parts A, B, C, D reimbursement and specialty drug acquisition
• Strong regulatory navigation and compliance risk mitigation experience
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
