Warehouse Operator

Overview We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operator to join our dynamic team in Morton Grove. As a pivotal member of our logistics and supply chain operation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our warehouse operates smoothly and efficiently. This role is essential for maintaining our commitment to providing high-quality service and timely delivery to our customers. Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and products in the warehouse. Prepare and fulfill outgoing orders by picking, packing, and labeling items accurately. Operate warehouse machinery and equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently. Manage inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts and maintaining accurate records. Assist in the organization and arrangement of warehouse space to optimize workflow. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse to ensure safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals. Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory to the management team promptly. Adhere to all safety protocols and standards while performing warehouse duties. Participate in training sessions and meetings to improve skills and knowledge. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus. Previous experience as a warehouse operator or in a relevant role is preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in using warehouse management systems and basic computer software. Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Physical ability to lift heavy items and perform manual tasks as required.
