Role Description The Sales Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Blacksburg, VA, focused on helping guests find the right wireless products, services, and solutions. On a typical day, the Sales Consultant greets guests, actively listens to understand their needs, and recommends Verizon devices, plans, accessories, and services that align with their goals. This role involves demonstrating product features, explaining plan options, processing sales and activations, and ensuring accurate documentation in store systems. The Sales Consultant is also responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, meeting or exceeding sales targets, maintaining store appearance, and participating in ongoing training to stay current on new products and promotions. Collaboration with store leadership and team members is key to driving store performance and creating a positive, engaging guest experience. Qualifications Strong sales abilities, including Sales Consulting and Consulting skills to identify guest needs and recommend appropriate wireless solutions. Commitment to Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with a focus on creating positive, repeatable guest experiences. Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal communication, active listening, and the ability to explain technical information in simple terms. Basic proficiency with point‑of‑sale systems, mobile devices, and common office software; comfort learning new technologies and tools. Ability to work on-site in a retail environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed; reliability and punctuality are essential. Goal‑oriented mindset with the ability to meet or exceed sales and performance targets while working both independently and as part of a team. Prior experience in retail, sales, or customer‑facing roles is preferred but not required; willingness to participate in training and continuous learning.
