Position Overview

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide school-based nursing care in Hershey, PA. This position will cover a maternity leave assignment, supporting a 15-year-old student with Phelan-McDermid syndrome.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the student for seizure activity and respond appropriately to any observed episodes.
  • Administer oxygen as needed, following the student's established care plan and medical orders.
  • Provide attentive, individualized nursing care throughout the school day.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for the student.
  • Communicate with school staff and the healthcare team regarding the student's medical needs.

Qualifications

  • Valid Pennsylvania RN or LPN license.
  • Experience with seizure monitoring and oxygen administration preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment, reliability, and the ability to work independently in a school setting.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to student care.

Assignment Details

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • End Date: January 4, 2027
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
  • Hours: Approximately 37.5 hours per week
  • Location: Hershey, Pennsylvania
  • Assignment Type: Temporary maternity leave coverage
