What You’ll Do

• Provide advanced patient care in cardiothoracic surgery on an urgent basis
• Support surgical staff during urgent procedures, including vein harvesting and other specialized techniques
• Cover approximately 3 weekends per month, with an average of 4 hours callback per day for rounding and patient management
• Collaborate with hospital teams to ensure seamless perioperative patient support
• Participate in patient assessments and post-operative follow-up in ICU and recovery units
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and communication
• Support patients aged 18 and above in a fast-paced hospital environment

What You Need

Required:

• Valid PA License and DEA registration
• 3+ years’ experience supporting cardiothoracic or urgent surgical cases
• Strong knowledge of perioperative care within a hospital setting
• Ability to work 24-hour shifts on weekends

Preferred:

• Acute care certification (not required)
• Proven ability to handle high-acuity, urgent surgical cases
