About the Position

General Surgery

Seeking a Board Certified General Surgeon to provide inpatient call coverage. The provider will manage a broad range of general surgery cases while covering hospital-based call with no outpatient clinic responsibilities.

Compensation: Hourly Rate: $2140 per 24 hours, 24-Hour Call: $2140 per 24 hours, Call Back: $295/hr.

Schedule


Start Date: ASAP


Contract Length: Minimum 6 months (dependent on recruitment)


24-hour call coverage


Typically one weekend and one full week per month


Weekend call: Friday 7:00 AM - Monday 7:00 AM


Up to one week of call coverage at a time

Practice Setting


Acute Care Hospital


Hospital-based inpatient call only


No outpatient clinic

Responsibilities


Provide 24-hour general surgery call coverage


Evaluate and manage surgical consults


Perform emergency general surgery procedures


Manage inpatient surgical patients


Collaborate with hospital staff and specialists

Practice Details


163-bed hospital


Average callback: 2-6 hours per day


Wide range of general surgery cases


No scheduled outpatient clinic


EMR: Epic

Requirements


Board Certified in General Surgery


Active state license


DEA


Broad general surgery experience


Robotic surgery experience preferred but not required

Additional Information


Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60-120 days


Temporary privileges available for providers with a clean file


24-hour call includes 2 gratis hours


Travel reimbursement available per facility guidelines.
