Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Job Description:

Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department responsible for caring for patients from neonate to geriatric, including pediatrics, stroke, cardiac, behavioral health and substance use disorders, in a Level III trauma center. The role requires flexibility and the ability to work in a busy fast-track ER set up in zones.

Responsibilities:

• Administer barcode scanning medications
• Manage medication drips and blood product administration
• Perform triage, must pass hospital's Triage Test before allowed to triage
• Set up chest tubes, arterial lines, assist with trauma and code cases
• Perform splinting, manage bipap/vents
• Utilize a good understanding of ESI

Requirements:

• Minimum experience: 3 years in a large volume ED with high acuity patients
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC
• Skills: Experience with Point of Care Labs, pediatric emergency medicine preferred
• EMR experience with Epic is required
