Senior Associate, Project Manager

Senior Associate, Project Manager Capital One’s Model Risk Office (MROf) governs and maintains model engines that drive business decisions by defining the model risk management (MRM) framework and model governance practices. As a Senior Associate, Project Manager, you will support our Divisional Model Risk Officers (DMROs) and their teams by ensuring they have insight into operations, validation plans, and horizontal requests, while driving risk reduction efforts through key processes and controls. Responsibilities Meet regularly with stakeholders to ensure line of sight into their operations, project plans, and horizontal requests. Utilize business intelligence (Quicksite, Tableau), project management (JIRA), and analysis tools (Excel, Google Sheets) to support stakeholders. Solve problems analytically by joining disparate data sets in Excel or Google Sheets and conveying solutions. Exhibit a demonstrated track record of project management, quickly establishing structure to manage tasks and expectations. Demonstrate outstanding influencing skills to drive project/program efforts in a dynamic complex environment. Lead and coach delivery teams through leadership and coaching. Maintain excellent communication and partnership skills essential for interacting with key stakeholders across all levels. Apply project management problem‑solving methodologies (waterfall, agile, design thinking, etc.). Simultaneously manage multiple projects and identify continuous improvement opportunities using data‑driven approaches. Ideal Candidate Traits Proactive, self‑starter, driven, and curious. At least 3 years of Project Management experience. At least 2 years of experience partnering with internal business clients. At least 2 years of experience applying standards from supervisory letters on model risk management (e.g., OCC Bulletin 2011‑12, FRB SR 11‑7). At least 2 years of model risk management experience in a regulated financial institution. At least 3 years of experience using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, proficient in joining disparate data sets. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree or MBA. 5+ years of Project Management experience. 2+ years of experience using JIRA or GitHub for project management. 1+ years of JIRA Project Administrator experience. Lean, Agile, Six Sigma certification, or other project management certification. Salary Range (Location‑Based) McLean, VA: $96,500 – $110,100 Richmond, VA: $87,700 – $100,100 Riverwoods, IL: $87,700 – $100,100 Benefits & Incentives Performance‑based incentive compensation may include cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives.
