Flow Cytometry Analyst - US Remote

Work Schedule: 2nd shift Tuesday-Saturday 12:00pm-8:30 pm All remote analysts are required to attend meetings onsite. Local analysts would be expected to attend 4 meetings per year. Analysts who are not local would have travel expenses approved for 2 meetings per year. Responsibilities: Performs routine high complexity analyses and interpretations of flow cytometry dot plots in the testing of leukemia/lymphoma specimens. Properly performs and documents quality assurance, quality control. Operates equipment as needed to complete testing. Sample preparation performed as needed. Properly prioritizes samples according to policy. Adheres to all safety, quality control and documentation policies. Recognizes problems that may adversely affect patient care and takes appropriate action. Participates in required Continuing Education activities. Serves as an example and resource to other testing laboratory personnel. Assists in training of personnel. Shows willingness to perform duties until they are complete. Additional duties as assigned. Work From Home Requirements: The candidate must have a home office space that is a dedicated room, not shared with other people, and meets HIPAA compliance. The candidate must agree to have their home address added to reports of cases you analyze or report. This is a CMS requirement. Wired or wireless internet at a minimum speed of 100 mb/sec is required. The candidate must have the ability to work remotely effectively as required in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and demands. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements. Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience is required. Experience in Flow Cytometry is highly preferred. MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), CLS(NCA) or SCYM(ASCP) certification is a plus. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus. High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills. Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen. Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs.
