Sourcing Specialist

SUMMARY The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and engaging potential suppliers to support the organization’s procurement needs. This role focuses on strategic sourcing, cost optimization, supplier relationship management, and ensuring the timely availability of goods and services while maintaining quality and compliance standards. RESPONSIBILITIES Identify and source potential suppliers for goods and services aligned with business requirements Conduct market research and supplier benchmarking to support sourcing strategies Evaluate supplier capabilities, pricing, quality, and reliability Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings and value Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Supply team, Operations, finance, Production, P& pack, Transportation, Maintenance, etc.) to understand sourcing needs. Develop and maintain a strong supplier network and relationships. Monitors supplier performance and resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or cost. Support the Procurement Manager with RFQ/RFP processes and supplier selection activities. Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and regulatory requirements Support the Procurement manager in tracking sourcing metrics such as cost savings, supplier performance, and lead times Stay updated on market trends and supply chain risks Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation. Ensure compliance with Newrest procurement policies and procedures. Complete other related projects as assigned by the Procurement Manager. Maintain a sense of positivity and professionalism in communications and execution of duties. Regular and timely attendance is expected for the position. Follow all Newrest safety Rules and hygiene. Other duties as assigned by management based on the needs of operation Ensure compliance with all applicable requirements related to product and service quality, environmental standards, food safety, and health and safety regulations. Promote a safe and healthy work environment by preventing work-related injuries and illnesses, eliminating hazards, and reducing health and safety risks. Compliance with HazardAnalysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)/General manufacturing practices (GMP) guidelines for personal hygiene and observe security precautions as mandated by unit management.
