Radiology Operations Manager

Position Summary Radiology Operations Manager (Days - Full Time) – Bell Hospital. This role provides direct oversight of the business, clinical, personnel, quality, and regulatory functions of one or more of the following modalities: General Radiology, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine, Breast Imaging, and/or Ultrasound. Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions Oversee daily responsibilities in one or more of the modalities listed above. Direct activities of departmental employees, providing guidance to indirect staff as needed. Assist leadership in developing, executing, and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure regulatory and professional compliance. Maintain appropriate orientation, training, continuing competency, and licensure of all staff. Develop and monitor process improvement initiatives for assigned areas. Ensure radiology services comply with governmental, legal, and regulatory standards. Demonstrate effective leadership toward unit/team goals and model appropriate values. Prepare budgets and financial reports; monitor resource allocation for staffing, skill mix, equipment inventory, and maintenance. Initiate and promote staff development, evaluate performance, and recommend merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions. Maintain current continuing education to keep the unit compliant with modern healthcare changes. Support organizational goals, collaborate with the management team, and resolve departmental problems. Use financial concepts and tools to analyze situations and make decisions supporting short- and long-term departmental objectives. Monitor departmental productivity and prepare reports as required, employing data-driven approaches. Create and communicate a “big picture” understanding of the hospital to align departmental and organizational competitive positions. Focus on high-quality, expedient patient care while involving customers and stakeholders in continuous improvement. Adapt to a changing healthcare environment and make appropriate business decisions. Possess the professional, clinical, or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department. Other duties may be assigned as required. Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in related science or management. For employees hired on or before 2/19/2025, an Associate’s degree or two‑year radiologic technology certification plus five years of experience may be substituted. For employees hired after 2/19/2025, a Bachelor’s degree is required. Three or more years of clinical imaging experience in an imaging modality. Three or more years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting. Preferred Education and Experience Master’s Degree. Five or more years of experience in an academic medical center environment. EPIC experience required. Required Licensure and Certification Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) – American Heart Association (AHA). Radiography (R) – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) – Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) – American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
