Supply Chain Operations Specialist - Per Diem

Hourly Pay Range $18.38 - $26.65, determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience. Position Highlights Position: Supply Chain Operations Specialist Location: Evanston, IL Per Diem (as needed) Hours: As needed Monday-Friday 7:30 am-4 pm Required Travel: no Job Summary The Supply Chain Operations Specialist maintains established stock levels in supply areas for assigned hospital units, medical group locations, and off‑site points of care. Responsibilities include counting current stock levels, picking tickets from inventory locations, organizing and facilitating just‑in‑time deliveries to assigned units, checking supplies for expiration, and working closely with clinicians to provide real‑time updates on product disruptions and changes. What You Will Do Monitor, count, and record inventory levels for all medical supplies in assigned Periodic Automatic Replenishment (PAR) locations. Deliver medical supplies to various departments and ensure timely replenishment/put‑away of stock in PAR locations. Pick, pack, stage, and deliver supplies for internally sourced orders. Maintain cleanliness and organization of supply areas and stockrooms, including rotating stock and performing expiration checks. Create, foster, and maintain relationships with department secretaries, nurses, and charge nurses, and provide frequent updates on the supplies stocked in the department. Use department phones, Vocera, and pagers to respond to supply requests. Utilize Endeavor technology to ensure accurate data entry into handhelds, computers, and expiration logs; check email regularly to stay up to date with departmental and system‑wide updates. Participate in departmental initiatives such as process improvement, implementations, or regulatory readiness. Adhere to all Endeavor policies, infection control protocols, and Joint Commission environment of care and supply management standards. What You Will Need Education: High‑school diploma or GED. Certification: Driver’s license may be required for specific duties; Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) is admired. Experience: Prior experience in warehousing and/or inventory management in any industry is preferred but not required; experience in a hospital setting is preferred but not required. Works effectively with diverse teams, including clinical staff. Adjusts to an ever‑changing healthcare environment and evolving regulatory requirements. Ensures accuracy in data analysis and process documentation. Clearly conveys ideas and findings to various stakeholders. Proactively addresses challenges with creative and effective solutions. Understands the perspectives of both patients and staff to drive improvements that benefit all. Ability to prioritize daily tasks and manage competing demands in a fast‑paced environment. Knowledge of procedures for handling, storing, and rotating medical supplies. Capable of completing, comprehending, and adhering to Endeavor training and education modules. Ability to learn to effectively utilize handheld scanners, personal computers, and Endeavor Health’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
