Job Description
The Housing Specialist is responsible for supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness in identifying, obtaining, and maintaining affordable permanent housing. This role conducts comprehensive housing assessments, assists clients in understanding and pursuing appropriate housing options, and advocates on their behalf with landlords, brokers, and housing management agencies. Additionally, the Housing Specialist coordinates supportive services to promote long-term housing stability and maintains a thorough knowledge of local housing resources, eligibility requirements, and relevant regulations.
Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field preferred. Or two to four years of experience in housing assistance, case management, homelessness services, or a related field.
Bilingual preferred
