Position Overview We are seeking a Tax Partner to lead and grow the Boston Tax practice, overseeing teams focused on tax compliance and tax provision outsourcing for middle-market and private equity–backed companies. This highly visible role requires strong technical expertise, exceptional leadership, and a demonstrated ability to expand market presence through business development and strategic relationship building. Key Responsibilities Lead tax teams delivering compliance, provision outsourcing, and consulting services to middle-market clients. Serve as a trusted advisor by providing high-quality technical and strategic tax guidance. Coach, mentor, and develop managers and staff to strengthen technical capabilities and team performance. Drive growth through business development, networking, and expansion of services to existing clients. Collaborate with partners and firm leaders to strengthen service offerings and support firm-wide initiatives. Engage with clients across industries such as Technology, Private Equity, and other middle-market sectors. Provide oversight on federal (ASC 740), multi-state, and international tax engagements. Qualifications Active CPA license required. Significant business tax experience with a large local, regional, or national public accounting firm. Expertise in federal (ASC 740), multi-state, and international tax compliance and consulting. Experience with Technology or Private Equity/VC clients is a plus. Proven track record of driving growth and expanding a practice, service line, or office. Exceptional interpersonal and client relationship skills. Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated staff development success. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
