Board Certfied Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Responsibilities Conduct descriptive behavior assessments (including FBAs) and interpret the results of those assessments Design effective behavior analytic interventions Develop and supervise implementation of behavior plans Design and oversee interventions that are consistent with the dimensions of applied behavior analysis Identify the need for program or data collection systems revisions or termination; make revisions as appropriate Teach staff to carry out interventions Ensure that behavior data and graphs are prepared Supervise, monitor and/or assist students in crisis Represent the programs at IEP meetings, monthly room meetings, case conferences, trainings and other meetings as required. Coordinate and provide regular trainings to new staff throughout the year and to veteran staff as needed. Participate in and complete Safety Care Trainer training; train new and veteran staff in safety care as needed throughout the year. Participate fully in any and all physical requirements of the position, i.e. implementing routine behavioral interventions as well as crisis intervention, lifting and transferring students, etc. Generate and distribute consultation notes Develop and implement social skills groups Provide consultation services as may be required on students’ IEPs Develop or guide ongoing implementation of teaching procedures for vocational, life skills or academics (district training, ADLs, TA) Any other duties assigned by the Coordinator and/or Director. Qualifications BCBA Certification Maintain renewal and recertification of BCBA standards 3 years experience with students with developmental disabilities who exhibit challenging behaviors as well as students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and those with therapuetic and mental health needs Familiarity with relevant regulations Excellent written and oral communication skills required Must be flexible and willing to work in multiple programs Master’s Degree in special education, psychology, or a related field from an accredited four year college or university required. Ideal candidate will have also demonstrated success in consulting and providing workshops and in-service programs. This position includes working the entirety of a five-week summer program. Shore Educational Collaborative staff are part of Massachusetts' State Retirement System. All school staff who may be expected to manage behavior must obtain and maintain certification in Shore's approved behavioral safety training program (Safety Care or equivalent).
