Billing & Collections Specialist

Overview Billing & Collections Specialist (Government Contracting / Order-to-Cash). We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing & Collections Specialist to support our Order-to-Cash operations. This role will be responsible for managing billing activities, resolving invoice disputes, supporting collections efforts, and ensuring accurate financial processing. The ideal candidate will have experience in billing, accounts receivable, or collections, preferably within a federal or government contracting environment, and possess strong organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities Manage billing, collections, and accounts receivable activities to ensure timely and accurate processing. Investigate, resolve, and document billing discrepancies and customer disputes. Collaborate with finance, operations, and delivery teams to address invoice issues and support payment resolution. Support BPaaS Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes and workflow. Review supporting documentation to validate billing accuracy and compliance requirements. Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with collections activities to reduce aging balance. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to billing adjustments, disputes, and collections effort. Prioritize and manage multiple assignments while meeting established deadlines. Utilize billing systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools to track and analyze financial data. Required Qualifications Experience in billing, collections, or accounts receivable function. Demonstrated experience with dispute resolution and resolving billing discrepancies. Experience supporting BPaaS Order-to-Cash (O2C) process. Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams. Proficiency with billing systems, Microsoft Excel, and supporting financial documentation. Preferred Qualifications Experience working within a Federal or Government Contracting environment. Familiarity with government billing requirements, invoicing processes, and compliance standards.
