Emergency and ICU Veterinary Clinical Manager

We are looking for collaborative and driven people to join our clinical team. Position Summary Veterinary Experience Required – We are seeking a Clinical Manager for our Emergency & Nursing team. The Clinical Manager reports directly to the Hospital Director and is responsible for developing and maintaining an engaged, empowered clinical team that delivers exceptional service to patients, clients, and referral partners. The role collaborates with the Medical Director to promote a culture of collaboration, foster career development, and cultivate inclusivity. What you’ll do Ensure the department healthcare team has the resources and tools needed to deliver the MedVet Experience. Coach team members on process improvement fundamentals to operate efficiently and sustainably. Collaborate with other departments. Develop, monitor, and adjust schedules according to workflow to maximize efficiency. Make recommendations, with the service/department representative, for the purchase of needed supplies and equipment. Manage and influence department financial decisions and health. Lead change in a rapidly growing organization while fostering a collaborative, service‑oriented culture. Provide a comprehensive clinical onboarding training schedule for all team members. Provide ongoing, continuous performance feedback, instruction, and follow‑up as part of a healthy Employee Experience. Negotiate and mediate conflict in partnership with the HR Partner. Perform initial screening of client and referral partner concerns and collaborate with the hospital dyad to resolve. Provide written performance feedback and a development plan annually for each member of the healthcare team. Split time between clinical and administrative duties, with a minimum of 50 % of the time spent on administrative tasks. Qualifications Associate degree or equivalent college‑level courses and experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask. Capability to work well in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to prioritize duties and responsibilities to meet deadlines. Highly professional and able to work with people at all levels of the organization. Standard knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours in the hospital unless otherwise approved by the Hospital Director. Must be flexible to meet departmental needs, including after‑hour and weekend coverage.
