Veterinary Technician - Critical Care

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Brentwood, TN is hiring experienced Critical Care Veterinary Technicians. Qualified applicants will have a minimum 3 years of experience, and be an LVMT. Up to $1,000 sign‑on bonus for qualified applicants Pay: $21.00 - $41.00 / hour Shift: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 7a-7p This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our leveling system. We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends. *Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum. Weekday Night (Mon-Fri 6P to 8A): $3.00 Weekend Day (Sat-Sun 8A-6P): $3.00 Weekend Night (Sat-Sun 6P-8A): $4.50 If you are one of those technicians that loves emergency cases, providing care and comfort to the critically ill or injured patient, we are the place for you! As a Critical Care Technician, you will: Work in collaboration with our boarded criticalists, skilled technicians, and assistants to provide high quality, progressive medical care to your patients Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR Place IVC's and advanced catheters like central lines, PICC lines, and arterial catheters. Use advanced monitoring like direct arterial blood pressure, capnography, and continuous telemetry Assisting in the ICU, including monitor and care for patients receiving mechanical ventilation and other critical patients Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
