Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:45 AM 5:30 PM Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Locations Available: Rockford, Comstock Park, and Kentwood

Position Overview

We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused professional to join our banking team as a Customer Service Representative. This role is ideal for candidates with retail, hospitality, cash handling, or customer service experience who enjoy helping people and working in a fast-paced environment.

In this position, you will assist customers with everyday banking needs, answer questions, process transactions, and help create a welcoming and positive branch experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with banking questions, account needs, and routine transactions.
• Process transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments.
• Handle cash and balance a cash drawer daily with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Educate customers on available banking products and services that may benefit them.
• Assist with services such as money orders, cashier's checks, and credit card transactions.
• Research and resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Collaborate with team members and internal departments to ensure a smooth customer experience.
• Support nearby branch locations when needed.
• Participate in community outreach and company events.
• Perform additional administrative and operational tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in retail, customer service, hospitality, banking, or cash handling preferred.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Comfortable working with customers in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is a plus.
• Professional, reliable, and team-oriented attitude.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the workday.
• Frequent use of computers, phones, and office equipment.
• Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.
• Ability to travel to nearby branch locations if needed.
