Patient Accounts Receivable Representative (EOB/Collections) Compensation $17.00 per hour paid biweekly Benefits available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment 401(k) with company match available after 1 year of service (on eligibility dates) Patient Accounts Receivable Representative (EOB/Collections) Highlights Contract assignment (W2); potential to hire permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Remote-capable (must have reliable, functioning internet) Important: Candidate must be able to read an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) Patient Accounts Receivable Representative (EOB/Collections) Responsibilities Review open patient account balances for accuracy Place outbound calls to collect payments and/or set up payment plans Investigate patient billing inquiries and communicate findings clearly Support/answer inbound patient calls as needed Document actions taken and billing status thoroughly in patient accounts Understand and follow Medicare guidelines and payer requirements Identify trends/issues and communicate potential resolutions to leadership Complete internal notes/tasks as assigned Maintain production and quality expectations for the department Patient Accounts Receivable Representative (EOB/Collections) Requirements High School Diploma or GED Minimum 1 year of outbound patient collections experience (medical/healthcare environment) Ability to read and interpret EOBs and understand denial reasoning Strong verbal/written communication and customer service (ability to de-escalate) Comfortable navigating multiple systems while maintaining data accuracy Moderate Excel skills and general PC proficiency Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days Patient Accounts Receivable Representative (EOB/Collections) Preferred Qualifications Call center / outbound dialer experience Experience with insurance follow-up, denials, and patient billing questions Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment If you think this Patient Accounts Receivable Representative (EOB/Collections) position is a good fit for you, please apply to this posting!
