Embedded Software Engineer

Software Staff Engineer OpportunityWe are hiring a Software Staff Engineer in Sterling Heights, MI, to support the development of advanced embedded software systems and Board Support Packages (BSPs) for mission-critical military vehicle platforms. This role requires expertise in embedded software engineering, low-level system programming, DSP applications, Linux and VxWorks environments, hardware/software integration, CSCI integration, and Agile software development supporting next-generation armored combat and vehicle electronics systems.Responsibilities:Design, configure, and maintain software development environments for code, documentation, and test artifactsDevelop software across multiple domains including: Board Support Packages (BSP), Digital Signal Processing (DSP), power management, lethality systems, diagnostics, and deploymentPerform software requirements analysis and translate into designDevelop preliminary and detailed software designs using approved tools and standardsImplement code in compliance with engineering standards and proceduresDevelop and execute unit and functional testsPerform hardware/software integration and system-level debuggingTroubleshoot and resolve issues across multiple test phases and environmentsBuild and manage software releases (CSCI integration) across multiple developersCollaborate with Systems Engineering, Program Management, and Software Quality teamsProvide status updates to software leads and stakeholdersParticipate in Agile Scrum ceremonies (daily standups, demos, etc.)Perform additional related duties as assignedQualifications:U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal LawBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field7+ years of embedded/software engineering experienceEmbedded software development in C, C++, Python, Java, or C#Operating Systems: Linux, VxWorks, RTOS, virtualization environmentsBoard Support Packages (BSP) and low-level system programmingGit / Bitbucket (version control)GCC, GDB, Eclipse or similar toolchainsJira / Confluence / DOORSNetworking & Interfaces: RS-232/422, CAN, TCP/IP, UDP/IPLinux image tools such as YoctoHardware/software integration and debuggingSoftware release integration (CSCI-level)100% on-site roleAbility to work overtime as neededMoseley Technical Services, Inc. is an AA/EEO/Veterans/Disabled Employer.
