Dietary AidePerforms a variety of tasks usually not requiring cooking skills in the preparation, service, and clean up for meals served to patients in the nursing centerAssists cook as directed by the food service directorPrepares and labels nourishments according to center proceduresPrepares and portions desserts, salads and other non-entrée foods into dishes; pours beveragesFollows production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriateSweeps and mops kitchen floors as assignedWashes dishes and silverware according to dishwashing procedurePuts clean dishes and silverware awayMaintains clean, neat, and orderly work areasDoes cleaning assignmentsTakes trash to dumpster if assignedWorks on meal tray serving lineReads and follows tray tickets, including therapeutic/specialty diets when serving mealsServes meal trays to patient and pours beverages for patients when assigned to dining roomPushes food carts to appropriate patient care areasCommunicates with patients during meal times when serving in dining areasWorking knowledge of sanitation practices relating to food handlingAbility to follow diet lists, portion food as specified and serve food in an appetizing mannerFull Time & Part Time ScheduleHoliday PayPaid Time OffRoom for growthPositive work environmentTeamwork
