The Bald Eagle Area School District, located within a short drive of the campuses of Penn State University and Lock Haven University, offers a robust educational program for students in a community-focused setting. The district combines easy access to the opportunities and amenities of nearby college campuses, with the tight-knit family feel of our rural community school district. We are in search of a motivated applicant to join the BEA family for the following position:

The Director of Special Education & Student Services directs the Special Education program of the District. The Director ensures program integration with the other instructional departments and the State. The Director ensures compliance with Special Education Regulations – State and Federal. The Director of Special Education & Student Services directs the work of special education teachers, paraprofessionals, school psychologists, and the MTTS Coordinator. The Director of Special Education and Student Services, in consultation with building administrators, coordinates the work of student support personnel including school nurses, school counselors, etc.

Masters degree from an accredited college or university, with at least 2-3 years Administrative experience. Special Education Supervisory certificate and Principal certificate or 5 years experience in Special Education.

12 month, 7.5 hours, 7:30 – 4:00

Benefits as provided under the Act 93 Agreement

Same as Professional Staff

Competitive salary based on experience
