Beyond technical responsibilities, the dental hygienist will be vital in instructing patients on effective oral hygiene practices and offering advice on nutrition and its effects on oral health. Teamwork is essential to us, so you will collaborate closely with the dentist(s) in your office to deliver optimal care for your patients. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Deliver oral hygiene services, including thorough and gentle prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polishing restorations, and applying cavity prevention agents like fluorides and sealants. Accurately document and review patient dental histories, update periodontal health records, log treatments provided, and manage patient records securely in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Assist the dentist as needed. Administer local anesthetics, if permitted by the dental practice act. Qualifications Required Qualifications: A degree or certificate in dental hygiene from an accredited program and a valid state license. CPR/BLS Certification. Strong time management skills.
