Trauma Surgery Nurse Practitioner (Nocturnist)

Location: Loveland, CO
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Compensation

• $136,822 – $179,379 annually
• Up to $10,000 annual Quality Value Incentive (QVIP)
• Up to $10,000 relocation assistance (eligible candidates)

Schedule

• Night Shift
• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Trauma Surgery Nurse Practitioner to provide overnight coverage for trauma and acute care surgery patients. This role involves managing high-acuity surgical patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overnight Trauma and Acute Care Surgery coverage.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage trauma and surgical patients.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Assist with trauma procedures and ongoing surgical patient management.
• Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care.
• Participate in professional development and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• ANCC or AANPCB Nurse Practitioner Certification.
• Active Colorado NP License (or eligibility to obtain).
• DEA eligibility.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Minimum 2 years of Trauma Surgery, Critical Care, or Surgical APP experience OR completion of a surgical fellowship.
• Clean malpractice and license history preferred.
