Assist Operator

Description Assist with the setup and operation of a production line to ensure products are made safely and meet quality and customer requirements. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Operate production equipment and monitor the production line. Perform quality checks and make minor process adjustments as needed. Assist with starting up equipment and performing basic preventive maintenance. Inspect fiber and finished products for quality. Offload, weigh, wrap, label, and package finished products. Remove production waste and maintain a clean, organized work area. Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and production requirements. Properly handle and track raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products. Assist with training new employees. Report safety or equipment concerns to the Shift Manager. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors. Basic math skills and ability to read production charts. Basic computer skills and ability to enter production information. Ability to follow written instructions and work as part of a team. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, and lifting. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work environment may include moderate to excessive noise, heat, vibration, fumes, airborne particles, and moving equipment.
