This position supports Drug & Alcohol programs by reviewing financial activity, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with required standards. The work helps keep accounts accurate and programs well supported. As a County Fiscal Officer 1, you will perform the following duties: Responsibilities Fiscal Reporting: Prepare monthly fiscal reports and monitor expenditures for program areas Record Analysis: Review financial records and apply accounting principles to various transactions Ledger Management: Post entries to the general ledger and prepare adjustments to correct or close accounts Account Reconciliation: Monitor funds, reconcile balances, and correct issues during transaction processing Invoice Preparation: Develop and evaluate invoices and fiscal reports for Drug & Alcohol and System of Care programs Provider Coordination: Communicate with providers and staff to ensure compliance with contracts and grant requirements Work Schedule and Additional Information Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60‑minute lunch. Employee may have overnight travel or out‑of‑county travel for meetings or training. Employee may have irregular hours, including evenings, weekends or holidays. Qualifications Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years as a Fiscal Technician and six college credits in accounting; or Five years of bookkeeping experience and six college credits in accounting; or Three years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business‑related associate's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or One year of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business‑related bachelor's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
