Here, you'll support sustainable farming, strong communities, and the mission to deliver fresh, local dairy to families every day.Summary: Working within the limits of authority and within Company policies and procedures, directs the activities of the operation in areas of Production, Maintenance, and Quality. The Production Supervisor role will be staffed for the purpose of running the day-to-day functions of the production and sanitation processes.Core Responsibilities:Safety – Works with Safety Manager to ensure compliance with Company Safety program. Involves but is not limited to accident investigations, preventative audits, and training.Quality - Works with the quality team to ensure compliance with the Company Quality standards. Involves but is not limited to titrations, reviewing master sanitation schedule, monitoring preventative maintenance and quality work orders and training.Human Resources – Works with Human Resource Manager and plant management to maintain employee payroll, time and attendance, morale, and training. Additionally works to enforce and promote all Company polices and procedures.Production – Works with Plant Superintendent and Production Manager to achieve production goals on product quality, machine efficiency, employee productivity, staffing and training. Works to achieve those goals by using effective leadership and communication skills.Warehouse/Cooler– Works with Plant Superintendent and Cooler Manager to achieve cooler goals on customer fill rate, cooler shrink, and cooler rotation.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Achievement of established department goals of production volume, quality, safety, and cost reductionProvides leadership and guidance to employees for the purpose of development and establishing a good working atmosphere.Assist with SAP training programs for employees to ensure effective adoption and utilization of SAP systems and processes.Coordinate daily production activities in order to meet business objectives.Communicate non compliances in a timely fashion to appropriate Managers for corrective action.Assigns job responsibilities to employees, according to policies to meet planned production schedules ensuring that the proper equipment repair and operating techniques are followed.Monitors changes in employee morale and works to resolve problems within the department.Maintains employee records such as time sheets, absences, tardy records, overtime, and safety as required for the department.Ensure standard operating procedures for job functions are accurate and up to date.Responsible for assigned safety program.Conduct accident investigation as needed.Responsible for production employee job performance, including safety, orientation, training and discipline. Assure compliance with employee relations' policies and programs.Monitor and enforce all policies and formulations.Instruct and train present and future employees as needed.Coordinates with purchasing in monitoring inventory control and variance control of all packaging and processing supplies.Lead continuous improvement activities to improve safety losses, performance results, processes and costs.Required Qualifications:High school diplomaDemonstrated ability to lead and motivate peopleDemonstrated ability to evaluate the performance of direct reportsAbility to think analyticallyAbility to communicate clearly verbally and in writingAbility to manage time effectivelyMust show enthusiasm, initiative, pride in work and a commitment to the organization and its missionGood computer skills, demonstrating proficiency in MS Windows, Word and ExcelGood human relations skills, ability to work well with others and be a team memberPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Food Science or Business discipline.Prior experience in Dairy/Food manufacturing and/or warehousing.Pay: $70-$85K a year ** The salary range listed for this position represents the good faith and reasonable minimum and maximum pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, training, knowledge, education, and overall qualifications.
