About the Role
A sophisticated Los Angeles law firm is seeking a senior Transactional Tax Attorney to join its Corporate/M&A platform. This is a highly visible role tied directly to an active and growing transactional practice handling sophisticated middle-market deal work across a range of industries.

The role is focused on transactional tax matters involving:

• mergers & acquisitions
• restructurings
• financings
• partnership structuring
• corporate transactions

This is not:

• trusts & estates
• tax controversy
• compliance-heavy tax
• broad/general tax work

The opportunity offers direct collaboration with Corporate/M&A partners, meaningful involvement in high-level transactions, and the ability to become a key part of a well-established deal platform.

The group handles sophisticated work comparable to larger national firms while offering a more balanced and sustainable environment than many traditional BigLaw platforms.

The firm is also open to speaking with small groups or attorneys with portable practices.

What They Are Looking For

• 7+ years of sophisticated transactional tax experience
• Strong M&A/corporate tax background
• Law firm-trained attorney
• Experience supporting deal teams on complex transactions
• Ability to operate independently with clients and partners
• Active California Bar license and good standing required
• Counsel, non-equity partner, equity partner, or strong senior associate backgrounds welcomed
• Portable business not required, but welcomed
