Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) - 13-Week Contract

Schedule

3x12-Hour Shifts (11:00 AM - 11:30 PM) with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Every other weekend is required. No blocked scheduling.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency care and the ability to manage critically ill patients effectively.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and manage heart rhythm changes (dysrhythmias).
• Provide care for critically ill patients with multi-organ issues.
• Administer blood products and manage central lines.
• Start and maintain IVs, and administer IV sedation and vasopressors.
• Care for stroke (CVA) patients and ventilated patients.
• Manage BiPAP/CPAP and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Follow isolation precautions and perform triage as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1.5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• At least 2 years of recent ER experience.
• Active state nursing license required (New York or compact).
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS.
• No disciplinary issues on nursing license.
