Buda Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Patient Coordinator to join our growing pediatric dental practice. This part-time role is ideal for a compassionate individual with dental office experience, who excels in patient communication, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and administrative support. Requirements
- Open Dental
Minimum 2 years of dental office experience.
Strong knowledge of dental insurance and confident discussion of financial arrangements.
Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor.
High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
Ability to multitask and adapt to changing office systems and procedures.
Solid understanding of dental terminology, coding, and billing.
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and health information management standards.
Clear, professional communication skills, with bilingual abilities considered an asset.
Proficiency with computer applications; experience with Open Dental preferred but not required.
Experience with insurance verification processes.
Job Description
Present treatment plans to parents clearly and answer related questions.
Discuss financial options including in-office membership and third-party financing.
Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility; submit pre-treatment estimates.
Manage patient scheduling to optimize office productivity and flow.
Follow up on unscheduled treatments and overdue recare appointments.
Assist clinical team with sterilization and treatment room turnover.
Participate in marketing efforts including social media and community events.
Collect and accurately document patient information during intake and check-in.
Review medical records and care plans for completeness and accuracy.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and health information.
Handle multi-line phone system, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries with professionalism.
Perform general administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and office management.

Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Wednesday: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Thursday: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday: Closed
