About This Role
Shandon Weekday School is seeking a passionate and dedicated School Age Teacher to join our team. School age students attend from 2:15pm to 6pm Monday through Friday as well as holidays and early dismissals from Richland School District One.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves developing and implementing engaging lessons, promoting childhood development, and ensuring the well-being of each child in the classroom. The position is Monday-Friday, 2pm-6pm with the potential of adding more hours by picking up substitute shifts or working in a nap room.

- Minimum of high school diploma but Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Experience working with children in a school or camp setting preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff
- Ability to plan fun activities and field trips
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Ability to work with children from 5K through 8th grade
- If over the age of 25, applicants have the ability to drive a 14 passenger van.
