Summary

About the position: This position will be assigned to the Trails End & Wrangler Lounge at F.E. Warren AFB, Wyoming.

This position is considered Flexible. The position is guaranteed zero hours, but has the potential to work up to 40 hours per week. You may be required to work some nights, weekends and holidays. As a flexible employee, you are not eligible for leave or benefits.

The hiring pay rate for this position is set by Federal pay setting regulations at $20.61/hour.

Duties

Help

PHYSICAL EFFORTS : Requires walking or standing for prolonged periods of time. Requires frequent light to moderate lifting and carrying objects weighing 5-15 pounds, pushing and pulling objects weighing 10-20 pounds, and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds. Heavier objects, such as beer kegs, are usually transported with the aid of a dolly.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Operating a full service bar.
• Mixing and serving all types of alcoholic or nonalcoholic drinks to order.
• Following a variety of established recipes. Beverages include, but are not limited to, Margaritas (for which no pre-mix is available), Zombies, Singapore Slings, etc.
• Delivering drinks to bar waiters, or serving directly to patrons.
• Receiving payments or charges to member's account as appropriate.
• Washing glasses and other bar equipment.
• Preparing garnishes for mixed drinks.
• May help stock service bar or portable bar for catered functions.
• Responsible for the proper operation of the bar, receipts, and inventory accountability.
• Accepts money, operates a cash register, and makes change. May be required to prepare documentation for cash funds accountability.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• This position has physical lifting requirement which requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical.
• This position requires the incumbent to complete a Tier 1 NACI background investigation with favorable results.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:

• Must have experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, which includes knowledge of a wide variety of beverages and ability to combine ingredients such as liquors, soda waters, sugar, bitters, and fruit and the ability to mix exotic drinks.
• Must be able to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and to resolve the problem or seek assistance if needed.
• Must be able to follow cash handling procedures.
• Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing 5-15 pounds, pull and push objects weighing 10-20 pounds, and occasionally lift up to and over 40 pounds.
• Must demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and possess skill in dealing with public.
• Must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for working with and/or serving alcoholic beverages.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

• Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement..
• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
