Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Hematology

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist specializing in hematology for its Tampa facility. The role involves performing routine and complex laboratory procedures, operating instrumentation, and delivering accurate test results in a high-volume diagnostic environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate specimen acceptability and perform routine and complex technical procedures per SOPs
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
• Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls; document quality control procedures
• Report accurate and timely test results and assist with specimen processing as needed
• Maintain safe work environment, manage supplies, and demonstrate independent problem-solving

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• Hematology MT State License
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred
• 3+ months clinical laboratory testing experience preferred
• Proficiency with laboratory information systems and computers
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
