Night shift travel respiratory therapist provides critical respiratory care during overnight shifts in hospital settings, delivering ventilator management and airway support. This contract position supports patient recovery across multiple departments while ensuring documentation and compliance with EMR standards. The role contributes to continuous patient care and operational efficiency during off-hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with hospital staff to assess and deliver respiratory therapy treatments across all departments
• Provide ventilator management, airway care, and oxygen therapy under physician orders
• Monitor patient responses, adjust treatments, and maintain documentation in Meditech EMR
• Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and post-treatment care
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols during all procedures
• Work night shifts (7 pm-7:30 am) and be available for alternate weekend shifts
• Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
• Float across hospital departments as needed
• Ensure compliance with all clinical and safety regulations
• Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate patient records
• Support rapid shift handovers and documentation accuracy
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of hospital respiratory therapy experience
• Experience with Meditech EMR system
• Prior floating experience across hospital departments
• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Current Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Skills:

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred)
