Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·         Create a customer-friendly environment.

·         Answer phones, referring calls to physicians or triage nurses as needed.

·         Retrieve messages from voicemail.

·         Greet patients.

·         Schedule appointments.

·         Register patients in the computer.

·         Verify demographics and insurance information.

·         Check out all patients.

·         Collect co-payment; print receipt as needed.

·         Post all charges and payments.

·         Reconcile money collected and charges at the end of your shift.

·         Address all emergency referrals.

·         Confirm appointment schedule via phone.

·         File letters, reports, doctor's notes, and triage notes.

·         Maintain supplies of all forms and office materials.

·         Order and restock office supplies (Notify manager of needs).

·         Maintain waiting room, magazines, and toys for a generally tidy appearance.

·         Verify that TV & Music are on in the waiting room.

·         Miscellaneous clerical and administrative duties as requested.
