Pre-Litigation Associate Attorney

Duties Manage matters with a focus on ADR processes prior to litigation. Evaluate claims, analyze liability and damages, and develop early case strategies. Draft demand packages, settlement agreements, and other pre-litigation documents. Conduct legal research to provide informed advice and practical solutions. Communicate regularly with clients for guidance and strategic recommendations. Negotiate settlements with opposing parties and insurance carriers. Participate in mediations and other dispute resolution proceedings. Collaborate with senior attorneys to maximize case value and identify early resolution opportunities. Maintain accurate case evaluations and file documentation. Stay current on developments in California law affecting client matters. Requirements 2-5+ years of experience in ADR and negotiated resolutions of disputes. Strong negotiation skills and success in resolving matters outside formal litigation. Experience evaluating claims and developing settlement strategies. Experience in mediations and other ADR proceedings. Excellent client communication and relationship-management skills. Strong legal writing and analytical abilities. Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with attention to detail. Sound judgment, emotional intelligence, and professionalism. Practical, solutions-oriented approach to legal problems. Experience or interest in California homeowner association law. Experience in real estate, business, or administrative practice areas is a plus. Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications Licensed to practice law in California.
