Associate, Anatomy Contouring - Manhattan, Cancer Center (Radiation Oncology)

Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Associate, Anatomy Contouring - Manhattan, Cancer Center (Radiation Oncology). The radiation oncology anatomy specialist should possess deep knowledge of human anatomy and be responsible for meticulously identifying critical structures within a patient's body to ensure precise radiation delivery while minimizing damage to healthy tissues. Using specialized software in combination with CT scans or MRI images, the specialist will delineate tumors and surrounding critical organs and tissues, work closely with dosimetrists, physicists, and physicians to ensure accuracy, and maintain high precision and accuracy. Job Responsibilities Precisely identify and plot anatomic contours to support radiation treatment planning for cancer patients. Scan fusions using medical images such as CTs and MRIs. Communicate complex anatomical information clearly to team members, physicists, dosimetrists, physicians, and other medical staff. Utilize specialized software for treatment planning, contouring, and dose calculations. Work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment. Trace boundaries of anatomical structures on medical images, creating precise 3D contours. Apply knowledge of anatomy, radiation therapy, oncology, and medical terminology to delineate tumor (Gross Tumor Volume) and surrounding critical structures (Organs at Risk). Adhere to all departmental and organizational policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by Chief of Dosimetry, Director of Physics, or Director of MR Linac Physics. Demonstrate excellent communication, computer, and interpersonal skills and maintain high standards of precision and accuracy. Minimum Qualifications Deep understanding of human anatomy, particularly in the area of the patient's cancer. Associate degree in biology, chemistry, or related experience. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Biology or with a major in biology, chemistry, pre‑medicine, or related experience. Salary The salary range for the role is $61,288.35 - $78,750.00 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
