Who We Are… Welcome to The Ned NoMad, a sophisticated members' club and hotel nestled in the heart of New York City. As the first international outpost of The Ned, we proudly opened our doors in Summer 2022, following the iconic debut of The Ned London in 2017. The Property… Set in the historic Johnston Building, formerly the NoMad Hotel, our property boasts a rich legacy dating back to 1903. With design expertise from the Soho House Design team, we've lovingly preserved the building's original charm while infusing it with a fresh, contemporary style. The Role… We are looking for a Barback to support and report directly into the General Manager. This is a fast-moving business, so we are looking for the right individual to be autonomous and be able to pick up multiple tasks and projects at once. Our culture is pacey but supportive, so you must be able to work in synergy with your peers and the different departments around you. Being an active communicator who is customer focused and detail-oriented is a must to ensure the experience we provide is unique, memorable and fun. Main Duties… Maintain all steps in the Steps of Service program with each patron and employee you may come in contact with Replenish paper goods (i.e., cups, napkins, etc.) at bars Assist bartenders in cleaning and maintaining bars, i.e. filling ice bins, etc Stock bars with alcoholic beverages including liquor, wine, beer, drink mixes Stock non-alcoholic beverages including soda, juices, and carbon dioxide at bars Stock liquor room with all supplies including liquor, beer, wine, dry goods, soda, etc Assist in prepping garnishes for daily operation Assist cleaning and stocking bars with appropriate glassware Maintain cleanliness of liquor rooms, beer coolers, and bars including sweeping, mopping, take out the trash, etc Assist with setting up for banquets and private functions including stocking alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and paper products Complete side work responsibilities Make change for guests Run cashier register as needed Help with inventories Perform other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Bartender Captain Requirements A minimum of 1 years of experience in a fast paced and professional environment Proven success of “champion of the culture,” facilitating excellent communication and engagement Team focused with an understanding of the bigger picture and how you can contribute Able to effectively manage different stakeholders and be persuasive Our Doors Are Yours To Open… The Ned is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace that seeks to recruit, develop and retain the most talented people from a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills.
