Job Details Location: Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234 Education Level: None Salary: $5.62 – $5.62 per hour Travel Percentage: None Shift: Any Category: Restaurant – Food Service Position Summary Responsible for supporting bartenders and guests by completing tasks related to stocking, replenishing, cleaning, maintenance, and preparation of beverages under the guidance of the bartender. Job Tasks Greet and interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner when applicable. Assist bartenders with all aspects of guest service. Smile and maintain a positive attitude at all times. Wash and sterilize glassware and other serving equipment at bars. Prepare garnishes for drinks. Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages. Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar, including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas. Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the bar manager. Maintain and stock adequate supplies of bar items such as glasses, cups, napkins, drink supplies, condiments, etc. Stock refrigeration units with wines, beer, and replace beer kegs as needed. Replenish ice at bar. Empty bar trash cans. Attend all scheduled employee meetings. Perform additional tasks as assigned. Qualifications Guest Service: Consistently assess, anticipate, and meet guests’ needs, responding quickly without losing focus or projecting a mood that detracts from the guests’ overall experience. Communication: Communicate clearly and professionally with guests, vendors, coworkers, and management; understand instructions and read company memorandums. Interpersonal Relationships: Adapt to different personalities of guests and coworkers without losing focus. Teamwork: Work collaboratively as part of a team, establishing good working relationships to maintain a team‑oriented work environment. Physical Requirements: Perform physical activities in a variety of environmental conditions requiring moderate strength, including cleaning, climbing, lifting, walking, balancing, and handling materials; stand for long periods of time. Problem Solving and Conflict Management: Recognize problems as they arise and resolve them appropriately using good judgment, tact, and initiative according to company policy. Analytical Skills: Possess general accounting and mathematical skills, point‑of‑sale application knowledge, and use logic and reasoning to identify solutions and alternatives. Technical Skills: Correctly operate mechanical devices such as POS systems, credit‑card machines, and mixers. Quality Control and Priority Assessment: Evaluate current practices and processes, recognize potential areas of conflict immediately, and initiate ways to improve current business methods and quality of products and services. Language Skills: Write and speak English effectively. Flexibility: Occasionally work overtime and assist with the workload of others if needed; additional responsibilities may be assigned as required.
