Premier Community Supports, LLC hires Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who provide high-quality, person-centered care to Individuals living with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities through in-home and community-based services, including day programs, positive behavior supports, and 24-hour residential assistance. Premier Community Supports is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Specialist to support accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations. This role plays an important part in ensuring employees are paid correctly, financial records remain accurate, and payroll practices align with organizational policies and applicable regulations. Working closely with the Billing & Payroll Manager, organizational leadership, and Service Managers, the Payroll Specialist helps coordinate payroll processing, reconcile timekeeping records, administer employee benefits, prepare financial reports, and provide responsive support to employees. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, trustworthy, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and financial integrity while supporting Premier Community Supports' mission.

Payroll Processing & Accuracy

• Assist with payroll processing, including exporting timekeeping data, reviewing payroll information, and submitting payroll through the organization's payroll system.
• Verify payroll calculations, employee hours, deductions, reimbursements, and adjustments to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Meet established payroll deadlines while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and applicable requirements.

Timekeeping & Reconciliation

• Review and reconcile employee time records against approved hours and billable hours documented in organizational systems.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping records and promptly identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies before payroll is processed.
• Promote accountability and accuracy in timekeeping, documentation, and payroll practices across teams.

Benefits Administration

• Coordinate monthly employee benefit plan administration and payments.
• Verify payroll deductions and employer benefit contributions for accuracy.
• Employee Support & Collaboration
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee payroll questions and concerns.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies while providing professional, responsive, and confidential support.
• Partner with Service Managers and organizational leadership to provide payroll guidance, training, and support.

Payroll Distribution & Recordkeeping

• Manage payroll distribution, including direct deposit administration and manual payroll checks when needed.
• Coordinate final paychecks for separating employees in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Maintain accurate, complete, organized, and confidential payroll records and supporting documentation.

Reporting & Financial Stewardship

• Prepare accurate payroll reports and financial information to support budgeting, financial analysis, and organizational decision-making.
• Identify and address overpayments, underpayments, unreported work hours, potential billing irregularities, and other compliance concerns.
• Promote accountability, regulatory compliance, and sound financial judgment by collaborating with leadership to investigate discrepancies, resolve issues promptly, and support accurate billing practices.
• Support responsible stewardship of organizational resources through accurate financial reporting, ethical conduct, and compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations.
• Assist with cross-department projects and other operational priorities as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• At least one year of payroll processing experience preferred.
• Experience with payroll software, timekeeping systems, accounting functions, or financial recordkeeping preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, human services, or a multi-site organization preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, and standard office technology.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills, with the ability to reconcile financial data and identify discrepancies.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills, with the ability to manage confidential information with discretion and integrity.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams.

Employment & Compliance Requirements

• Valid driver's license and/or government-issued identification, as applicable to the position.
• Successful completion of all required state and agency background checks before and throughout employment, as applicable.
• Completion and maintenance of all required state and agency certifications, credentials, and training, including CPR/First Aid and other training applicable to the position.
