Make a difference every day by bringing your expertise as a School Psychologist to students in a supportive academic environment near Muskegon, MI. This contract position allows you to collaborate with educators and families, advocating for student success and shaping positive school experiences.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid license or certification as a School Psychologist in Michigan
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree from an accredited program in School Psychology
- Previous experience working in K-12 school settings is preferred
- Proficiency with student assessments, IEP processes, and special education services
- Strong interpersonal skills for consultation with staff, students, and families
- Ability to manage caseload effectively within school deadlines and requirements
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for students
- Deliver direct counseling and intervention services as part of the special education team
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement IEPs
- Provide expertise in behavioral interventions and academic supports
- Participate in RTI/MTSS teams, offering insights on academic and social-emotional development
- Support crisis intervention and offer recommendations for student safety and well-being
- Maintain thorough and compliant documentation of all student interactions, assessments, and meetings
