We are seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to prepare traditional sushi and specialty rolls with precision and artistry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards in fish preparation, sushi rolling, and food presentation while ensuring the kitchen is clean and organized. This position requires flexible scheduling and occasional customer interaction, emphasizing quality and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Prepare fish and seafood for sushi and sashimi
- Roll sushi with consistency and aesthetic appeal
- Present food attractively to meet quality standards
- Conduct quality control to maintain freshness and safety
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years in culinary arts, specializing in Japanese cuisine
- Food safety certification and strong hygiene practices
- Proficient knife skills and fish filleting techniques
- In-depth knowledge of traditional sushi and specialty roll preparation
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Effective communication skills
