Early Childhood floating Teacher Assistant -

IC3 is looking to hire a floating Teacher Assistant who will work with all ages of children, infant, toddler, pre-k and school age. This position is scheduled Monday - Friday, 11:45-5:30. The Teacher Assistant supports the Teachers and by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. S/he must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. Assisting the staff in implementing a quality educational program and in developing positive relationships with the children and their parents. Teacher Assistants are responsible to for implementing developmentally appropriate activities based on children’s interests and needs under the direction of the Teacher. 

• be able to establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment
• assist teachers with designing and implementing an age appropriate classroom/learning environment
• have the ability to appropriately and productively respond to the needs of both the children and parents in the classroom
• have team-oriented problem solving skills
• abide by OCFS regulations and NAEYC standards
• be responsible, reliable, and dependable
• have clear, direct communication style (written and verbal)

• Must clear full background check.
• Must pass health screening.
