Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic

Completes preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on Generator or component at the customer site with minimal direction.

We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in (Henderson, CO).

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Completing repair activities on generators or components
• Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of service
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

External Qualifications and Competencies

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
• High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
• Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands on exposure to working on power generation products.

(Entry):

• Primarily engaged in preventative maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics on generators.
• Basic Diesel Engine experience.
• Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality.

DOT

- A current valid license is required for this role - This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations - This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical - 3 years driving experience - This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use -Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age

- The state of Tennessee EPA requires a CDL to transport oil, this role requires a CDL due to EPA requirements.- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age - This role is not subject to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) drug and alcohol testing

Education, Licenses, Certifications: Apprentice Trained Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Current relevant electrical certification Locally valid driving permitThis position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: Minimal level of workshop related experience required.Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience
