Sylvan Valley Dental | Brevard, NC

Sylvan Valley Dental is looking for a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our team in Brevard, NC! We are seeking a friendly, motivated, and self-starting hygienist who enjoys building relationships with patients and contributing to a positive, team-focused environment. While we prefer candidates with at least one year of clinical experience, we are open to considering new graduates who are eager to learn and grow.

Schedule:

• Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Part-time candidates will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, and patient assessments.
• Perform patient screenings, take dental radiographs, and document findings accurately.
• Educate patients on oral health, home care routines, and preventive treatment recommendations.
• Partner closely with doctors and team members to deliver an exceptional patient experience.
• Identify and communicate treatment needs while helping patients understand the importance of recommended care.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
• Follow all infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols.
• Contribute to a positive, efficient, and team-oriented clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license (or eligibility for licensure) in the state of North Carolina.
• At least one year of dental hygiene experience preferred.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Dentrix experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, approachable, and patient-focused demeanor.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and stay productive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and creating positive patient experiences.
