Number of Beds: 40 Patient Ratios: 1:7 Unit staffing description: 1 clinical nurse coordinator, 7 nurses, 4 patient care technicians, and 1 unit coordinator per shift. Type of equipment: Regular medical equipment for med-surg unit. Documentation system: Meditech. Scheduling requirements: 36 hours per week with rotating weekends. Floating policy: Contract labor is prioritized for floating to like units. Patient experience requirements: 1+ years. Advanced skills needed: None. Procedures performed on unit: EKGs, blood glucose monitoring, venipuncture. Dress code: Required uniform is royal blue top and bottom.
