Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring 2+ years of experience and a NH or compact RN license. Requirements Active NH or compact RN license required in hand Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required Prior travel nursing experience required BLS certification (AHA) required BSN preferred PCCN certification preferred Must be competent in high flow and BiPap respiratory equipment Must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health facilities for 6+ months to be eligible COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed Pass/fail Tele/ECG and medication testing required Responsibilities Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/IMCU at a Level 3 trauma center Patient population includes primary medical cases, respiratory failure, infections, CHF, and arrhythmias 1:4 patient ratio on an 8-bed unit 12-hour night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week Every other weekend required Schedule is set every 6 weeks with no self-scheduling No floating or charge nurse responsibilities required Uses specialized equipment including chest tubes, epidurals, CAPD, NICO (Cheetah), and radial/femoral compression devices IV pumps by ICU Medical, Hi Flow by Vapotherm, Bipap by Philips, and cardiac monitors by Philips Performs infusions and titrations for medications such as amiodarone, Cardizem, and Lasix Performs and reads EKGs, phlebotomy, IV starts, and central line care, maintenance, and removal Assists with bedside procedures including chest tube and central line placement Assess, evaluate, and provide PCU-level care to patients with complex medical needs Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration First-time travelers are not eligible for this position Previous Beth Israel Lahey Health employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break before returning RTO must be disclosed prior to consideration Interview will be conducted directly with the hiring manager Interview availability must be provided in advance Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-741234 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr
